Changes in LWVGC activities due to COVID 19

Considering that most of our plans are event-based, face-to-face events, we have cancelled all events through mid May. Some will be rescheduled, or changed to an online format.

The League of Women Voters of Greater Cleveland and our partners are rethinking our centennial, voter registration, and census plans and are following the recommendations of our Governor, the Ohio Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and joining the collective efforts to ensure our community stays safe and healthy during the Covid-19 outbreak. The CDC recommends that, for the next eight weeks, organizers cancel or postpone in-person events of 50 people or more. For more information on mass gatherings click here.

Over seven million Ohioans haven’t cast a ballot in the 2020 Primary election. The League of Women Voters of Ohio and LWVGC are working with other voting rights activists on a texting program to educate voters about the vote by mail process. We need help! Join us in this peer-to-peer texting campaign.
