Sue Claire Harper, member of the Sussex County League of Women Voters and a board member of the State League, flies the 19 Amendment flag in honor of the 100th anniversary of the passage of the amendment. She holds a can of Centennial Suds, the special-edition Dogfish Head beer brewed for the occasion.

LWVSC registers new voters on National Voter Registration Day

The LWVSC held a voter registration event at Del Tech Georgetown, registering 60 new voters.

Gwendolyn Miller, newly elected president of the League of Women Voters of Sussex County, helped man a voter registration table for the League at the Juneteenth Celebration in Georgetown on June 15th.

The League of Women Voters along with the ACLU and Common Cause of Delaware held a panel discussion on the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact at Sussex County Council Chambers on 3/3/19. UPDATE:  The Delaware Legislature passed the NPV bill on 3/14/19.

The ACLU of Delaware filed a lawsuit against the Department of Elections to order that the Department of Elections accept all ballots mailed by Election Day and received within 10 days of the election. The League of Women Voters of DE is a plaintiff in the suit.

The State of Delaware needs more than 4,500 registered voters to work in polling places for the General Election on Tuesday, November 3. To help ensure that the polls in Sussex County are fully staffed, the League of Women Voters of Sussex County DE is launching a local campaign to recruit poll workers.
